A young Bradford man was apparently shot in the chest sometime after 10 p.m., Tuesday night.
The victim is reportedly Bryce Finn, who just graduated with the Haverhill High School class of 2017 last week. Several of his classmates said Finn has died from his wounds.
Neighbors told WHAV News, a car drove up to a 54 Rainbow Drive home. When a man, possibly in his late teens, came to the door, the teen was reportedly shot in the chest. He was taken away in an ambulance and his condition is unknown.
“A car pulled up. He came to the door and they shot him,” said one neighbor, who asked not to be identified. Other neighbors in the usually quiet, middle-income neighborhood, said they were rattled by the events. One would only say, “I hope God is with him and his family.” All declined to speculate on a motive for the shooting.
Haverhill Police Chief Alan R. DeNaro personally went to the home, but officers set up yellow crime scene tape in front of the home and would not let a reporter pass. Police cars and tape sealed access between South Riverview Street and Sunrise Drive, restricting neighbors’ vehicles from entering or leaving the street.
This is a developing story. Stay tuned to 97.9 WHAV for more information.
